Still life
ii

The goal of this drawing assignment was to draw the still life image without tracing by incorporating a variety of ways to measure and gauge proportions. I was graded on proportion, line quality, project specifications, and draftsmanship.
quilling

For this project, I was to choose a word and use the first letter of the word to portray the word through quilling. The word I chose was graceful. I wanted to challenge myself by choosing a characteristic rather than an object. The colors and shapes I chose played an important role in communicating my word well. I was graded on communication, composition, drawing, draftsmanship, and specifications.
cut paper illustration

The cut paper illustration project required us to choose a movie or story for inspiration. I thought it would be creative to feature Simba from "Lion King" and take events and characters in his life that shaped him into the strong and brave lion he became by the end of the movie. Therefore, I made a silhouette cut out of the events and characters within a cut out of grown Simba. I was graded on communication, composition, draftsmanship, and specifications.
FINAL PROJECT OF CHOICE

This was my final project for the class. I was able to incorporate my major into the assignment. Featured is a perspective drawing of a kitchen that I found online. The kitchen was designed by Kate Marker and was featured on cococozy. I was graded on perspective, proportion, line quality, specifications, and draftsmanship.
